Spoiler warning! Click show if you want to see the spoiler. [show]In the beginning of the film there’s a narrative by Tahu.

“Makuta Teridax is alive...and Milennia ago, he betrayed us. We formed a rebellion and split in two groups: Toa and Glatorian against the Brotherhood of Makuta. in the ruins of the Arena Iconox. A group of five warriors in the Arena were working on a space ship. We hope to find the Kanohi Ignika to reunite Bara, Aqua and Bota Magna into Spherus Magna, and that is where our story begins…”

In the Arena Iconox, a couple of Toa and Glatorian are working on a blue ship. Strakk had been 'playing around' and assumed the role of leader. Gresh muttered something foul, and than Strakk barked out more orders. Tahu told him to cool down, and than The Twins, Scodna and Kirbraz start arguing. Vastus yells and tells them to stop doing so. Tahu exclaims they are finished, and as they load up, he explains their route.

All of a sudden, Teridax approaches with Corroder, Nektann, Branar, Antroz, A Rahkshi of Heat Vision, Stronius and Vamprah Teridax and Tahu’s team than slip into a fierce battle. The order of fight sequences: Takanuva vs Rahkshi, Vastus vs Vamprah, Kiina vs Antroz, Nektann vs the Twins, Strakk vs Corroder, Gresh vs Branar and later Stronius, and in the end, Tahu vs Teridax, and Strakk laid a rough blow with his axe to Teridax's head. In the end, Teridax is stunned and his warriors abandon him. Corroder yells swearing his Revenge and he says that he is the new leader.

The Toa/Glatorian/Villager crew gets in the ship and they blast off of the planet, hoping to find the Ignika.

Meanwhile on the ship, the crew is leaving Bara Magna. Outside of the ship it’s revealed that a Makuta ship is chasing them. The ship shoots at them.

The film continues with the crew crash-landing in Detroit after the attack. The ship is shattered by a building called the Comerica Tower at Detroit center. A young high school student comes over to the wrecked ship. He backs away when Strakk's fist pops out of the rubble. Disgusted by the man, Strakk lifted his axe and prepared to lay a fatal blow-but Takanuva stopped him at the last moment. Takanuva greated the kid and said "I am Takanuva, Toa of Light". The rest of the team emerges from the rubble and they all make direct eye contact with the kid.

The warrior named Tahu carefully looks at Sam Spandler, and asks him wether or not he knows about the Ignika. After a discussion, Tahu invites Sam to come along with them on their quest to find the Ignika. He says he will. However, Agent Simon Sector has tracked down the group, and police move in to arrest Sam and interrogate him about information about the aliens. A group of cars with police drivers surround Sam and the Warriors. However, the Twins argue, which makes the humans distracted long enough for everyone to escape. The twins follow, and Scodna also kicks over one of the vehicles by accident. Planes and Jets hover nearby to search for Tahu and the others. After several close call escapes, Gresh is stunned by a Thornax. In hiding, you can see Branar. Vehicles move over to stun him, and they figure out he already is. Sam is arrested as well, and Tahu and his companions escape. Mazeka, however, claims “I am not going to let organic flees take away two comrades!” However, despite his quote, he to is stunned by a thornax and brought onto the back of a Hess Truck. Sam is seen being taken away into a vehicle.

Tahu is than seen alongside Vastus checking a transmission he received from the Order of Mata Nui. The message they receive says the location of the Kanohi Ignika, of which is located buried in a South America grassland. Tahu orders the Twins to stay behind alongside Kiina and Strakk. The scene concludes by showing Tahu, Takanuva and Vastus flying off in a spaceship that was noted to be made out of Protosteel. The scene switches to Detroit at the Renaissance Center, in which Vamprah is pirched on top of a tower. He tracks Tahu, and notices the direction they are heading leads to the Kanohi Ignika. A transmission from Corroder orders that he should let them find it, and than they kill them and seize it. Vamprah than flies off into the sky.

In an attempt to save Sam, Mazeka and Gresh, The Twins head off to a top secret military base in which they are being held captive. After managing to 'escape' from traps, they found the trio. Scodna oped the door by pushing a button, and Gresh knocked down several walls until making it back outside.

However, Simon Sector approaches with around 20 soldiers, and he says that he will help them (The reason for this is TBA). Captain Stennox and Sergeant Kirp begin leading the soldier squad to the middle of Detroit. Gresh tells Tahu through a communications device that they have backup for finding the Ignika. Tahu says that they found it...but Corroder and several of Teridax's warriors are approaching. After Gresh signed off of the transmission, Tahu communicated Kiina, saying that a battle is going to be held in the city with permission from "Their leader, Barack Obama". Kiina and Strakk are than seen heading off to the center of the city.

It was than revealed that Corroder was communicating to Teridax's minions, and that they are to mobolize. Nektann, Rahkshi, Branar, Stronius, Antroz and Vamprah pick up his signal, and they move in. Vastus and Gresh had flown to the city, and the soldiers had allready gotten there with air support. After everyone assembles, S. Kirp calls in several F-16 Bombers to engage a wide missile range attack. A 'Green Warrior' flew by and picked up his transmision, and Vastus recognized the figure and exclaimed "It's Corroder!" He than ordered Gresh to pick up a blue pillar with him to use a a Barricade to prevent any blasts of acid from hitting the soldiers or innocent fleeing bystanders. Corroder fired several bolts of acid, and one hit the pillar and supposedly Gresh. When everyone regained strength, they got up, and Sam realized that Gresh had lost both of his legs. Kirp drove over with a truck, and Vastus loaded Gresh onto it, leaving his severed legs behind.

(Spoilers start NOW!) Tahu, Kiina, Strakk, Takanuva and The Twins ran down a massive highway. In an attempt to seize the Mask of Life and kill the warriors: Branar, Vamprah and Nektann attack from behind and the sides of the road. An epic battle ensues as the three evil warriors trample and shred vehicles apart, and heroicly, Tahu stopped short running, and he tackled Vamprah off of the steep canyon. Furthermore, Strakk tore off Nektann's blue-skinned face, alongside the spines, and he than rammed the Skakdi off of the cliff to his demise, supposedly killing him. Branar than jumped on Strakk, but the well trained Ice Glatorian snatched Branar's shield and spun it directly at his mid-torso section, slicing him in half, and also killing him. Tahu and Vamprah battled down the steep and dangerous cliff's slopes until Tahu readied his blade as he hid behind some old rubble. Vamprah leaped over the rubble, and, in one swift, smooth motion, Tahu disengaged the bat-like warrior's head. At this point, the other warriors, including Strakk, had made it to the city. Tahu than went on his way after kicking Vamprah's corpse in the side.

Once Tahu's other allies got to the city, they reassembled after Corroder's first attack. They were interrupted by the arrival of Stronius, clad in black heavy armor. The massive brute hit down soldiers as if they were twigs. Stennox than ordered his assets to focus their fire on the mighty warrior, alongside Kiina, Strakk and Mazeka. Their combined force jolted Stronius through the wall of a building.

On Bara Magna, Teridax reawoke and sensed the Ignika on earth. He was instantly drawn to it's power. Once he got thereStrakk tried to stun him again, but Teridax swapped his axe and threw it away. Teridax kicked the Glatorian down, puck him up, and, using his Rahkshi fragmentation power...he fragmentized the Ice Warrior to peices, killing him.

Stronius, thought by the Soldiers to have been killed, rose up again. A soldier told Stennox, and he said that these things don't die so easily, and than, Antroz arrived on a rooftop around a mile away, followed by the Rahkshi of Heat Vision to transform from his hovering mode to normal.

Sam as given the Ignika by Takanuva, and the Toa of Light and Vastus said they would guard Sam as he ran to Tahu to give him the Ignika. While the trio ran, Vastus was ambushed by Antroz of whom was heading en-route for the soldiers, but the Glatorian escaped his sharp blades.

It than occured that Tahu arrived in the city, greeting Teridax sarcasticly, and he was greeted by Teridax back. Teridax, however, suprisingly ignored Tahu's presence and he flew off to find the mask of life - but Tahu narrowly grabbed onto his foot after dropping his blade and golden 'pistol'. He held on tightly as the massive black Makuta flew through a small tower and and the two tumbled to the ground, Teridax landing on a building and decimating it entirely. Teridax and Tahu than fought, bare hands, and in the end, Teridax blasted Tahu with a bolt of shadow into a building.

Meanwhile, Sam kept running, being encouraged by Vastus not to stop. Than...Sam was attacked by Corroder as the lethal lime colored warrior skidded across the street, cutting a swathe through several cars. Takanuva and Vastus fought Corroder - but once the Makuta flew away, Takanuva was too weak to keep running, and Vastus ordered Sam to get to the mountain to find Tahu. The two than kept runnng without Takanuva.

Teridax landed on the street after attacking Tahu, and shouted to Sam for him to give him the Mask. Vastus swapped up Sam and flew up to the middle of the mountain - but than, Teridax grabbed him by the shoulder and threw him down to the city below. At this point, Sam was rapidly climbing to the top of the slopes.

The soldiers, Mazeka and The Twins fought Stronius more...not gaining any more victory. Sergeant Kirp swerved over to the scene, and told Gresh to shoot his 'Fruity gun' (The Thornax Launcher) at Stronius. He fired it repeatedly, alongside everyone else, until Gresh layed a fatal blow to Stronius's energy core, and the brutal Skrall warlord collapsed to the ground, dead,

Sam reached the top of the mountain, and Tahu was approaching ...and so was Teridax. The evil master of shadows landed near Sam, and Sam hid behind some rubble. In the background, you can see Corroder on top of a tower. Teridax yet again orders Sam to hand over the mask of life - but Sam didn't comply. He knocked Sam off the edge of the mountain - yet Tahu flew over and caught him in time. As Tahu reached the streets below safely with Sam, Teridax grabbed Tahu and flipped him over, Sam was released, Tahu told Sam that if he could'nt defeat Teridax, Tahu would have to launch the Ignika into space again. Tahu and Teriax than prepared to battle for one last time.

Meanwhile, Antroz landed near Stennox and his troops. Stennox told Takanuva, now renergized, to "Ready the guy's aim". Takanuva than annoyed the Rahkshi by dodging his Heat Vision bolts. After a while, one bolt shot Antroz in the torso, and the intense heat vaporized his antidermis form, killing hm. Takanuva, using the Avohkii, made a shield of light. The Rahkshi of Heat Vision shot a bolt of heat vision at Takanuva, too stupid to realize the shield was there. The bolt of Heat Vision reflected off of the seemingly 'invisible' shield, and it incinerated the Rahkshi's Kraata, making him no more than a heavy peice of armor.

The scene quicky switches to Corroder jumping on several F-16's, and in the end, all of them were annihilated.

The scene switches back to Tahu v.s. Teridax, an epic battle altogether. After partially stunning Tahu, Teridax vicously demands the Ignika from Sam. Tahu told Sam to put the mask on his (Tahu's) face, seemingly thinking that if Tahu is killed, Teridax alone would flee - But Sam ran foward, held the mask high, and threw it directly at Teridax's face! The mask of Shadows fell to the ground as this happened. The Kanohi Ignika quickly inserted raw energies through his body and into his energy core, and the power it possessed quickly killed the tyrant. Several soldiers, Toa and Glatorian approach, alongside The Twins and Mazeka. Tahu looked over him as his eyes flickered out. Vastus and Takanuva approach with Strakk's remains. Tahu told Sam that he owes him his life, and they are in his obligation. Kirp suddenly swerves over with Gresh, barely concious, yet partly functional. Vastus told Tahu that they couldn't save Strakk, and Tahu mourned his demise. He said that they lost a great ally, yet they gained many new ones, and that he says a big Thank You to all of them, and that they honor him with their bravery. Tahu says that with no transport back to Bara Magna, they will stay on Earth. He than says that humans combine their unity, do their duties, and fulfill their destinies, moraling the Bionicle virtues. The narrator than said that the remains of the 'Alien mechanisms' will be discarded of in a securely guarded pit of water. Than, Tahu is seen picking up the Kraahkan, and placing it onto his back for 'safekeeping'.

As did the film begin with a narration, Tahu concludes it with one:

"With the Ignika destroyed alongside Teridax, we cannot reform Spherus Magna - and with no transport to our home planet, Earth, for now, is a new place to call 'home'. We live among the world's people now, hiding in plain sight...but watching over them in secret, waiting, guarding. I have wittnessed much courage in my life, and they have been included as the bearer of part of it. And though we are worlds apart, it seems that they have grown a strong relationship with us. I am Toa Tahu, and I send this message to any surviving good or evil out hiding among the stars: We are here, and we, are ready.....for Anything!"

Spoiler warning! Click show if you want to see the spoiler. [show]*Starscream7 had replaced Berix with Kirbraz in the film, the reason for this is because "He didn't want to have someone this 'funny' right away.

  • Several Transformers toys were featured in the film: 2007 Incenerator and 2009 ROTF Aerialbots Airazor and ir Raid (All in vehicle form)
  • The Ignika didn't vaporize Teridax's Antidermis form, it destroyed his energy core, yet his antidermis form remains active yet trapped.
  • Early drafts of the film had Teridax push Tahu into a pool of energized protodermis and the toa warrior would emerge alive with enough power to give off a Nova Blast. He did this, and this time, it vaporized Teridax's Antidermis form and killed him entirely.
